If Gustav Freitag had been familiar with the Internet, he wouldn’t have had to change one single word. Even in the 21st century, no one needs to know everything. But it is nice to know where to quickly find a source of knowledge – such as our new website. On this website we offer everything imaginable with regard to our wine, a subject that we “properly understand,” from the vineyard to the cellar.

Quench your thirst for knowledge and learn all about our wine estate, our vineyards, our ideas and philosophy, and our wines. In addition to very practical things – such as driving instructions or information (with photos) about our venues for events – you’ll find quite amusing videos and/or can quickly find what you’re looking for with the search function.

Have you leased a vine? If so, our website can help you keep up to date on your vine’s status or you can see exactly where your favorite Balthasar Ress wine comes from via satellite photos... it’s all we can offer armchair travelers at the moment, since it’s not yet possible to actually sample the wine on the Internet...
