To name but a few examples, one of our guests’ first requests was to visit a Louis Vuitton shop, where handbags and accessories were purchased. Even the drive there at a good clip on the autobahn ­– in a German sports car – was a pure joy for them. European wines fetch the highest prices in Asian markets because they are so highly esteemed. During dinner on my balcony, we drank mature vintages from our estate’s treasure chamber. With a click, the labels of the wines were immediately, and with great pride, posted to their friends back in the UAE.

For all who produce handcrafted or high-tech products in Germany, Asian markets provide a tremendous opportunity that should be dealt with responsibly. Producers must strive to achieve highest quality and deliver solid workmanship. That’s precisely what we’re committed to doing at the Balthasar Ress estate.
