Wine of the month June/July 2014

We drank one of these wines several times ourselves and a number of our customers enjoyed it so much that they subsequently added it to their own wine lists. We’d like to offer it to you as our wine of the month in June.

 

1992 Hattenheim Nussbrunnen Riesling Auslese

 

Although 1992 was generally regarded as a fairly weak vintage internationally, this wasn’t the case in the Rheingau. Particularly the sweet and lusciously sweet wines were extremely supple and long lived. Our Nussbrunnen is a perfect example. It has aged well and nearly reached its peak. It’s a great pleasure to drink.
