Geisenheimer Kläuserweg lies southwest of the world-renowned site Schloss Johannisberg. It is a south-facing, horizontally elongated site consisting of deep loess-loam and marly soils. It was first documented in 1292 as "Via Clusen" and in the 14th century, as "Cluserweg" (alluding to a path to the St.-Georgs-Klause at the foot of Johannisberg, a nunnery that was originally a dependence of the Benedictine monastery uphill). It is rumored that the cloister was dissolved in 1452 due to improprieties of the nuns. For many years, Weingut Balthasar Ress has cultivated ca. 2.5 ha/6 acres in the site, of which 1.5 ha/3.7 acres are planted with Riesling and not quite one ha/2.5 acres with Spätburgunder.

Vintage 2011: pronounced exotic fruit redolent of ripe litchi and gooseberry. The acidity is incredibly harmonious. Overall, the wine is unbelievably ripe and balanced, and has a long finish. It is delicious with powerful fish dishes, such as red mullet.

You can revoke your order in writing (e.g., letter, fax, e-mail) within 14 days without reason or, if the merchandise has been sent to you before the revocation period has expired, by returning the merchandise. The revocation period begins with receipt of these instructions in the form of a text, but not before the goods have reached the recipient (in case of repeated deliveries of similar goods, not prior to the receipt of the first partial delivery), and in any case not before we have fulfilled our obligations to inform pursuant to article 246 § 2 in connection with § 1 paragraphs 1 and 2 of the Introductory Act to the Civil Code (EGBGB) as well as our obligations pursuant to § 312e paragraph 1 sentence 1 of the Civil Code (BGB) in connection with article 246 § 3 EGBGB. Your right is ensured if your written revocation and/or the return of the merchandise takes place within the revocation period.
