Our premier white wine grape, Riesling, is renowned for the tremendous longevity of its wines. We're committed to helping you become familiar with Riesling's potential. For this reason, we've always put a few special wines in reserve, only to release them when they've reached their optimal drinking age. This is not always easy, because demand for our wines is continually increasing. Nevertheless, we'll continue to try to keep at least small quantities of these wines in reserve.

Vintage 2001 was certainly one of the best of the past 20 years. Both professional critics and wine enthusiasts agree. They are long-lived wines that need time to develop. The 2001 Rüdesheim Berg Schlossberg Riesling is such a wine. Now, after more than ten years of development and maturation, this wine has reached perfection. The Rüdeshimer Berg Schlossberg site is the steepest stie in the Rheingau. Situated directly on the Rhine, it is the central portion of the Rüdesheimer Berg - a hill with nearly mystical status.

Produced from 40-year-old vines, the wine has a whiff of petrol on the nose. Despite this sign of maturity, it is still unbelievably fresh and full of life. The wine's harmonious acidity and nearly 12 grams per liter of residual sugar will doubtlessly extend this lease on life for a few years to come. At present, the wine is excellent with frothy soups and, as we've just discovered, particularly delicious with a piece of ripened Comté. And this for a price of 17,90 € / 75 cl bottle.

The revocation period begins with receipt of these instructions in the form of a text, but not before the goods have reached the recipient (in case of repeated deliveries of similar goods, not prior to the receipt of the first partial delivery), and in any case not before we have fulfilled our obligations to inform pursuant to article 246 § 2 in connection with § 1 paragraphs 1 and 2 of the Introductory Act to the Civil Code (EGBGB) as well as our obligations pursuant to § 312e paragraph 1 sentence 1 of the Civil Code (BGB) in connection with article 246 § 3 EGBGB. Your right is ensured if your written revocation and/or the return of the merchandise takes place within the revocation period.
