The new collection is available

Last year, we bid farewell to Oechsle readings and measures of ripeness once and for all. Only one factor counted: the actual taste of the grapes. We harvested more selectively than ever before. The 2011 harvest was not only the earliest, but also the longest, in the history of our estate. The result: wines with a completely new spectrum of aromas, that clearly refect their origin, and that have been vinified to produce a more consistent style than those of the 2010 vintage.

We’re pleased to introduce three new wines. It would be a shame to not sample them at least once:

2009 BALTHASAR RESS “Von Unserm” Riesling Sekt Zero Dosage, a “bone dry” sparkling wine available in limited quantities;

2011 BALTHASAR RESS “Von Unserm” Spätburgunder Weissherbst trocken, a dry rosé;

2011 BALTHASAR RESS Rüdesheimer Riesling trocken, a new village wine that is a cuvée from grapes in three of the village’s classified sites. It reflects compliance with the VDP Classification. Together with our “Hattenheim Riesling,” it makes up the intermediate segment of our portfolio and provides a foretaste of our single vineyard wines.
