We have four Grosse Gewächse from the 2012 vintage. For the first time, we have one from the Wisselbrunnen site in Hattenheim. This wine is causing quite a furor because it is very unusual. As with all our site-designated wines, a clear-cut reflection of origin in the wine is paramount. It's never about producing an easy-to-drink, "nice" wine. We try to preserve origin and "capture" it in the bottle. But see for yourself. As usual, we've put together a sampler with one bottle each of our 2012 Grosse Gewächse wines:
