As long ago as the 1980s, Stefan Ress, a great fan of the fine arts, introduced artist labels for particularly fine wines. Internationally renowned artists, such as Otmar Alt and Claudia Keller, personally designed a label for a specially selected Balthasar Ress wine. A total of XV editions were created.

For vintage 1987, Leo Yerxa designed the 8th edition. The tenth anniversary of the artist label series was also celebrated in a book: "Kunst und Wein - Balthasar Ress und das Rheingauer Künstleretikett" [link einfügen http://www.balthasar-ress.de/kuenstleretiketten/das-buch.htm]. Both the wine and the book are available from our estate.

Leo Yerxa was born in Canada in 1947, and raised according to Indian tradition and culture. Sketches for the Olympic Medal series IV in 1976 number among his works of art.

The 1987 Riesling Kabinett from the site Hattenheimer Nussbrunnen - artistically enhanced by Leo Yerxa - is available exclusively from our estate.

Signed labels were personally signed by the artist.

The bottles of this edition are consecutively numbered from 1 - 2,700.
