Only one more year...RESSpekt will be retrieved

RESSpekt is made from a selection of the finest Riesling grapes grown on the Rüdesheimer Berg, which includes the steepest parcels (up to 70% incline) of the Rheingau. Vintage 2009 was fermented without the addition of cultured yeast, and in order to preserve its individual character, it was not clarified or fined.

For this reason, RESSpekt must always be stored at a cool temperature – which led to the idea of the dive. Diez quarry pond lies within a steep limestone formation. It is known for its excellent water quality and adherence to environmental standards. Thanks to its depth of 22 meters/72 feet, it provides year-round optimal storage temperatures between 6 and 8°C (42.8 and 46.4°F). The precious treasures will be salvaged in the summer of 2013. We’re anxious to see how the wine developed under these optimal storage conditions
