News from the wineBANK December 2013

Normally, chocolate is paired with red wine - but on this evening, it was exclusively with white wines from Balthasar Ress. Not only sweet wines go extremely well with "chocolate dreams," but also dry Rieslings. Especially impressive was the combination of a dry 2011 Hattenheim Engelmannsberg Riesling and a lavender-marzipan praline - a match "made in heaven." In fact, the entire evening provided an explosion of different aromas. Wine and chocolate formed a fantastic symbiosis and developed completely new aromas. It was a worthy finale of the "wineBANKers' Table" year. As always, we're taking a break in December and January but we'll be back in February with a special type of "Table."
