Her diverse responsibilities include collaborating on product development; observing market competition; pricing; as well as customer service and acquisitions. In addition, she’s in charge of sales activities at the wine estate, including the realms of the Vinothek and the WineBank, a unique wine storage facility unparalleled in Germany.

Christine Scharrer’s career in wine began in October, 2006. Following language, business, and cultural studies at the University of Passau, she earned an MBA in wine marketing and management in Bordeaux.

She worked at the House of Mähler-Besse, traditional Bordeaux wine merchants, as an export manager for the German market, after which she was European export manager at the family-owned-and-operated Spanish bodega Vicente Gandia in Valencia, where she gained more experience in sales and marketing. At this writing, she is about to complete her diploma in wines & spirits at the University of Applied Sciences in Geisenheim/Rheingau.
