Vintage report 2013 Hattenheim Engelmannsberg

The day began with a real downpour that forced us to start a bit later than planned. Yet after an hour of picking, the grape carts were nearly full – thanks solely to the energy and hard work of our vine lease holders. Despite extremely unfavorable circumstances, the final results were excellent: 92 degrees Oechsle, just short of qualifying for Auslese status.

Although the must is still fermenting, it is very clean and powerful. Everyone can look forward to a great 2013 Hattenheim Engelmannsberg Riesling trocken from this VDP.ERSTE LAGE (first-class site).
