Message from Christian Ress March 2014

It's definitely the world's leading wine trade fair and an equally important showcase for us. It affords our customers in the hospitality and wine specialty trades around the world an opportunity to get a comprehensive first impression of the new vintage. Of course it's early March, and thus far too soon to draw any final conclusions. Yet, a general picture of the vintage is clearly taking shape.

 

Once again we're offering our private customers several opportunities to sample our new collection. My estate manager, Dirk Würtz, and I look forward to personally welcoming you to our winery (Rheinallee 50 in Hattenheim) as of 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, 26 April, for our joint presentation of vintage 2013, which can certainly be described as being "exceptionally good."

 

As mentioned last month, the Rheingau's "Schlemmerwoche" (gourmet week) takes place in late April/early May. As such, the estate manor (Rheinallee 7) will be also be open on 26 April. Feel free to stop by after the tasting at the winery. You'll be able to enjoy traditional country cooking prepared with fresh regional and seasonal ingredients - as well as our wines.

 

As of 11:00 a.m. on Monday, 5 May, I will be at the Weinbar & Vinothek in Wiesbaden for another presentation of the new vintage.
