Message from Christian Ress Dezember 2012

One of the most eventful and exciting years in the history of our estate is coming to an end. Since 2009, we've pursued a new path. We scrutinize everything and leave no stone unturned in the vineyards and estate. Slowly, we can see in which direction we are heading. Our wines are increasingly more clearly defined, more authentic, and reflect uncompromising quality. Our efforts are being recognized. Not least, by you!

During the last three years we have made considerable investments and we will continue to do so. Not only in technology, but also in human resources - the people who are helping us realize our new direction. In this respect, there were some changes in 2012. With Birger Sparr, who has been our vineyard manager since January, and the two cellar masters, Sascha Wagner and Stefan Glöckner, we have a completely new team in key positions in production. Real characters, each of them...well-educated and highly motivated young people. Every day we see how "our guys" approach their work with great commitment and pleasure. There was also an important change in our sales staff. Christine Scharrer, our new national sales manager, fits in perfectly with our team. She's an acknowledged specialist with many years of experience, lots of professional knowledge, and enormous dedication.

If you still need a last-minute holiday gift, our Vinothek (shop) is open until noon on Christmas Eve. It will remain closed between the years. As of 2 January 2013, we're back in business seven days a week: Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
