From vineyard to cellar August 2013

Naturally, there are some parameters at this point in time that could enable a forecast to be made. Yet, when I consider what all can happen in the next three months, what all can go wrong, then I can only shake my head. I won't jump on the bandwagon of speculation - and that's all it is. Thus far, the year has been difficult and to some extent, extraordinary. And I think things will continue along these lines and everything will become quite complicated. Of course, I have no proof or evidence of this - it's simply a feeling. If I'm wrong, I wouldn't be sad!

 

We nearly had an absurd peak workload the last few weeks but somehow managed to turn things around. Growth in the vineyards virtually exploded and we had to remain calm and not resort to blind activity. There was something "urgent" and work awaited everywhere. In the meantime, we've got everything under control and things have calmed down. There's no less work, but it's less stressful.
