Estate manor April/May 2015

Thanks to its tremendous success, we’ve decided to open the RESStaurant again this year (24 April to 3 May) in our estate manor. Once again, you can look forward to fresh, homemade regional and seasonal cuisine, including beef dishes from Demeter-certified cattle and our asparagus terrine. Last year’s extremely popular »Von Unserm« platter, with our RESSilami and ham from Dirr’s butcher shop, are also on the menu. All dishes are homemade with ingredients that are as fresh and as regionally souced as possible.

 

You can also look forward to a seasonal menu; THE KAISERSTUL IM RHEINGAU – SPRINGTIME A BIT DIFFERENT.

 

Hearty: Kaiserstühl herb-infused aspic with walnut vinaigrette and fried salsify

Filigree: Kaiserstühl fennel-flavored ham with marinated asparagus and cheese from the Allgäu (Bavarian) Alps

Finely spiced: smoked Black Forest trout in a saffron-vegetable marinade with Kaiserstühl pancetta (cured, unsmoked, Italian-style bacon)

Wild: wild boar salami and venison ham with a purée of apple and Spätburgunder red wine

Legendary: Kaiserstühl bratwurst spiced with herbs, served with cubed potatoes and crisp pork shoulder seasoned with chili

Or: Kaiserstühl currywurst with homemade gravy

Sweet: fresh, unripened curd cheese flavored with honey and vanilla, served with rhubarb and strawberries

Plenty of crisp, hearty farmer’s bread will be available.

 

We’ll be serving a selection of our current wines as well as a few selected specialties from our treasure chamber.

On Thursday, 28 May, as part of the “Rheingau Filmnächte”, we’ll be showing

 

the cult film “Saturday Night Fever” in the pocket theater of the estate manor. Admission costs 35,00 euros per person and includes all wines, water, and a snack. Doors open as of 7:00 p.m.; the film begins at 8:00 p.m. Due to the limited seating capacity, we recommend purchasing a ticket in advance. You can register here.
