Employee profile: Hans Kilp (production)
He’s primarily responsible for driving tractors, however, he’s also involved
with all kinds of day-to-day work in the vineyards. He’s on the spot to help
take care of whatever needs to be done, be it pruning or spraying the vines,
as well as harvesting the grapes.
Before coming to Balthasar Ress in the Rheingau, he was employed by the large, international pharmaceutical company Boehringer in Ingelheim/Rheinhessen, where he also was involved with large machinery. Yet, he missed working in an agricultural environment. He gained experience and insight into viticulture and food service at his parents’ estate from an early age on, and became familiar with routine operations in everyday practice.
Hans Kilp particularly enjoys working in the fresh air and the varied tasks of his job, as well as the opportunity to work on his own for the most part. In all, he wouldn’t want to do without it.
