Glorious Rheingau Days 2011

For years, the rarities tasting at Weingut Balthasar Ress has numbered among the wine highlights of the Glorious Rheingau Days. The evening begins in the treasure chamber of our traditional estate manor with a gustatory journey through the world of rare wines of outstanding quality. Following the tasting, there is a five-course dinner in the neighboring restaurant Kronenschlösschen prepared by Michelin-starred chef Patrik Kimpel, who is currently the president of the renowned association of Germany’s promising young chefs de cuisine, Jeunes Restaurateurs Deutschland. The Ress family has selected rare wines from four decades to accompany the menu.
