During the opening celebration of the Wine Bank on 5 December 2009, sommelier Kai Schattner sampled the wine in the cellar and was arnazed. He spontaneously cried "respect." From that moment on, everyone on hand immediately knew that this superb cuvee was destined to be a winner. An idea was born for a strictly limited premium wine that is dry in style - a wine that would set a Standard in its league. It would be named "RESSpekt"!

RESSpekt is a strictly limited edition. Each bottle, magnum or Balthazar is numbered. It is a wine of the utmost in every respect, sourced from a selection of the finest grapes from the Rüdesheimer Berg, where the steepest parcels of the Rheingau are located. It was fermented without the addition of cultured yeast, and in order to preserve its individual character, it was not clarified or fined. For this reason, RESSpekt must always be stored at a cool temperature.
