Matthew Spender Edition XI - Artist labels

In 1945, born in London, son of a man of letters and a musician. From 1962 to 1965 studies at Oxford, from 1965 to 1967 studies at the Slade - School of Art in London; since 1967 married to artist Maro Gorky, emigrated to Italy in 1968. Since 1972 Professor at the Accademia del Disegno, Florence. Lives and works in Italy.
